Terms & House Rules

Using this website

1. Who we are

This website is operated by The Dragon's Roost LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a game store at 107 W 14th St, Marshfield, Wisconsin. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

2. Our content, and everyone else's

The words, photographs, and design on this site are ours. Game names, logos, and product artwork belong to their publishers — Wizards of the Coast, The Pokémon Company, Games Workshop, Disney, and others — and appear here to describe what we stock, not to claim any affiliation with or endorsement by them. Please don't reproduce our content commercially without asking. Linking to us is always welcome.

3. What this site does and doesn't promise

We keep the site as accurate as we can, but stock, prices, and event details change — sometimes the same day. Nothing here is a guarantee that an item is in stock or that an event will run exactly as listed, so please call before you make a special trip. The site is provided as is, and to the extent the law allows we aren't liable for losses arising from using it, or from not being able to use it.

4. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the last change. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, and any dispute about this website will be handled by the state or federal courts of Wisconsin.

5. Everyone's welcome

Our one real rule: be someone other people want to sit across from. No gatekeeping, no talking down to anyone for what they haven't learned yet, and no harassment of any kind. Every table is open to every skill level, and "I've never played this" is a perfectly good thing to say out loud — it's how most of us started. If someone is making the shop worse, tell us. We'd much rather hear about it than have you quietly stop coming.

6. Events

Event days and times are listed on our events page and can change. If you want to know what a night actually involves before you turn up — what to bring, what it costs, whether it suits a first-timer — call us at (715) 207-6116 and ask. We'd rather answer the question than have you guess.

7. Buying, returns, and trades

We sell in person, at the counter. Returns, exchanges, and trade-ins are handled in the store, and what's possible varies by item, so ask us before you buy if you want to know where you stand — at the counter, or on the phone.

8. Younger players

Kids and teens are welcome here, and plenty of players start young. If you're a parent working out whether a particular night suits your kid, call and ask. We'll tell you honestly.
